A Lie

I may have lied once
or maybe a few times.
not to hide the truth.

I kept it to myself
I was afraid.
change is scary.

It was my only lie
Repeated many times.
No longer.

I shouted out
I told the truth.
You now know.

I felt crazy
no control.
unsteady.

Its ok now
I'm not afraid
a burden is lifted.

I'm relieved now
and slightly nervous.
The truth is out.
